Well, took little Suzy into the shop today (I hate shops). While attempting to adust my valves last weekend, I could't remove the timing inspection cover on the left side crankcase. I don't know how that cover got so tight but I ended up striping the slot out to unsrew it. So, I had to take into a small shop (about the only one I kinda trust) and have them remove the old cover and replace it with a new one. I also told them about the vapor lock i am experiencing on low fuel. When I went to pick the bike up, they said that the California models don't vent through the fuel cap and they found a kinked hose under the tank and replaced it. The only thing is, I know my bike practically inside and out. There is only one hose under the tank and it can't be a breather hose cause it's too low. Maybe I'm wrong. Can anyone shed any light on it. They also charged me the full hour of labor to remove the timing cover and install the new one. They said it was so tight that it bent their tool. I believe him cause he showed it to me. Total cost for the new cover, labor to remove the old one and the new vent hose....65.00$ Ouch!
